In his first full season at Bellarmine, Austin started all 17 games at center back or left back, logged a team leading 1,520 minutes and tied for 2nd on the team in assists. The Knights led the ASUN in overall defense and advanced for to the conference final for the first time in school history after earning the #2 seed. Austin earned All-ASUN honors, and returns for his redshirt senior season this Fall with the Knights. He also has earned Dean's List and ASUN Academic Honor Roll recognition for his work in the classroom and will graduate in December with a degree in Business Administration and Management.
Before his time at Bellarmine, Austin spent three successful seasons at Belmont University, showcasing his versatility in various positions across 26 games. During his collegiate journey, Austin consistently excelled academically, earning Dean's List recognition for five consecutive semesters and receiving accolades such as being named to the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for both the Southern and Missouri Valley Conferences.With a strong foundation in high school soccer at Notre Dame Preparatory in Arizona, where he earned numerous awards, including Region Defensive Player of the Year and Team MVP, Austin's passion for the sport and dedication to excellence is evident in his impressive athletic and academic achievements.
Additionally, Austin's commitment to personal growth and development led him to train in Barcelona, Spain, at Fundacion Marcet and compete in USL2 for Tri-Cities FC and AZ Arsenal SC, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and talented player both on and off the field.
Austin’s father, Rob, played varsity lacrosse at Duke University (1984-88). He owns a sports marketing agency and currently represents teams in EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, MLS and Brazilian Serie A, and negotiated first-ever shirt sponsor for Inter Miami CF (XBTO), naming rights for Arsenal (Emirates Stadium) and Manchester City (Etihad Airways). His brother, Cameron, was an NJCAA All-American (2018), member of the football team at Auburn University (2019-20) and plays professionally in Europe.
